THIS IS MY LIFE OUTSIDE OF ANH DESIGN.
When I'm not glued to the computer screen and guzzling down Starbucks coffee, you'll find me treasure hunting at antique stores/boutiques and adopting neglected/unwanted decorative pieces or furniture to repurpose/repaint. If it involves exercising the right side of my brain, I'm all for it! Aside from shopping and DIY projects that I never get around to doing, I love spending time with my 3 beautiful kids (2 humans and 1 very pudgy cat).
THIS IS ME IN TWO SENTENCES.
My name is Anita Hoepner (with a silent 'o') and I am a freelance graphic designer in the Metro Detroit area. I am also an overachieving, results driven, and detail-oriented perfectionist, with a side of quirky.
THIS IS HOW I GOT HERE.
I earned my Bachelors Degree in Business Marketing at Oakland University and began working as a Project Administrator for the Ford Mobility Motoring program at Marketing Associates. I worked closely with the Art Department and Graphic Designers on various projects, such as trade show displays, magazine ads, brochures, and other marketing collateral for the program. After a year or so, I realized my strength was on the creative side of marketing. I landed a Creative Associate position at McKinley, a multi-million dollar property management company in Ann Arbor, Michigan. In 2010, I decided to venture off on my own and established ANH Design LLC. ANH (pronounced 'ahn' or 'on') are my initials, but it is also a Vietnamese term used to address an older brother/male friend, or a boyfriend/husband. Pretty cool, huh? Since the beginning, my husband was always there to support and encourage me. Thank you, Anh!
